Cain Motterâs off-grid geodesic dome sits under the moon surrounded by an array of upside-down Joshua Trees in Pioneertown, Ca. Cain calls his dome and the surrounding area âDomelandâ which he created as a private haven for artists, filmmakers, writers, and musicians to work collaboratively or on their own unique craft. To get power, Cain runs extension cords from generators and one large solar panel at the back of the property. Cain keeps his bed in his car outside his dome and reserves the dome for events and gathering to bring people together and says, âI donât live in a place. I live anywhere and everywhere I am in that moment.â
